About Gender Links

Gender Links (GL) is a Southern African non- governmental organization established in 2001, headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa. Dedicated to promoting gender equality and justice across the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region, GL operates in 15 countries, including Mauritius.

Rooted in evidence-based research, advocacy, and community-driven action, our programmes address critical areas such as gender-based violence prevention, women's economic empowerment, sexual and reproductive health rights, and inclusive governance.

As a proud member of the African movement for gender justice, Gender Links Mauritius collaborates with local stakeholders, regional partners, and international organisations to amplify impact and foster sustainable change. Every project, every partnership, and every success brings us closer to a society where every individual can live with dignity, equality, and opportunity.

Together, we are shaping a future built on rights, resilience, and hope.
